The Hon Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs Dr Hajiya Mairo Amshi has expressed readiness to work with development partners to strengthen humanitarian coordination and delivery in the state.

She made this known while receiving officials of the Victims Support Fund (VSF) at her office.

She says the Ministry was created in 19 December 2019, with the sole mandate to provide leadership policy formulation, coordination, control and dealing with all humanitarian aspects in an emergency and mitigating the impact of disasters.

The Commissioner expressed appreciation to VSF for smooth partnership and its intervention as part of the insurgency recovery plans of the state.

The VSF ExecutiveDirector Prof. NANA TANKO, during the visit said the mandate of the organisation is providing support for Rebuilding/ Renovation such as Schools, Hospital and Agricultural Inputs, Fertilizer, Livelihood, Livestock and Entrepreneurship skill to Vulnerable Women and youths who are victims of conflict in the state.
